The Jackie owes its name to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who made it one of her favorite accessories and gave it worldwide fame. Its crescent hobo shape, supple and without rigid structure, hugs the body when carried on the shoulder; the leather strap that runs down the front secures into the piston clasp, that sliding mechanism marked with the double G which remains, decades later, the immediate signature of the model. It is a bag for everyday use — designed to be opened and closed a hundred times a day with a single motion.
This version plays the card of the discreet monogram: black GG Supreme jacquard canvas, where the pattern appears through play of texture rather than color contrast, combined with black smooth leather details, handles and base. The result is a profoundly neutral bag that can be worn as well during the day as in the evening and never goes out of style. The jacquard canvas also has the advantage of being significantly more resistant to daily use than light-colored leather.
